Lowercase v, step by step

  2. 2Swing back up to the midline.
  3. 3Finish with a little tie to the right, along the midline.

Capital V, step by step

  1. 1Start at the top line with a small hook and curve down to the baseline.
  2. 2Swing back up to the top line.
  3. 3Finish with a little curl to the right.

Watch for: Forgetting the tie at the end, so v looks like u.

Joining: Lowercase v finishes with a little tie at the midline, so the next letter joins at the midline rather than from the baseline. It is one of four letters that do this: b, o, v and w.
