Lowercase t, step by step

  1. 1Start halfway between the midline and the top line.
  2. 2Slide straight down to the baseline and finish with a small swing up.
  3. 3When the word is finished, cross the t at the midline.

Capital T, step by step

  1. 1Start at the top line and make a wavy line across to the right.
  2. 2Lift your pencil. From the middle of the wave, slide down to the baseline.
  3. 3Curve back to the left and up a little.

Watch for: Making t as tall as l, or giving it a loop. Lowercase t is shorter and has no loop.

Joining: Lowercase t finishes on the baseline with a small swing up, and that swing carries straight on into the next letter.
