Our Methodology
How We Compare
Every comparison is built on rigorous testing, consistent scoring, and editorial independence — so you can trust the results.
Documented Capability
Every claim is traced to vendor documentation, pricing pages or public user feedback — not marketing copy.
Consistent Scoring
Every product is evaluated against the same 8-category scoring framework for fair comparisons.
No Pay-for-Play
We never accept payment for placement or scores. Every winner earns its spot through merit alone.
Continuously Updated
Comparisons are re-checked quarterly. Products evolve, and so do our evaluations.
Affiliate Transparency
Some links on this page are affiliate links. If you make a purchase through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This never influences our scoring or recommendations — our winners are determined entirely by testing results.
Still not sure?
Our comparison engine is always expanding. Bookmark this page — we add new side-by-side breakdowns every week based on what our readers request most.
How we reach a recommendation
Every comparison on this page is built the same way. We start from primary sources — the product's own documentation, its pricing page, its release notes and changelog — and cross-check what those say against what users report publicly. Where two sources disagree, we say which one we followed.
That means our assessments describe documented capability rather than lived experience. We think that distinction matters enough to state plainly: a feature comparison built from specifications is genuinely useful, and it is a different thing from a review by someone who ran the tool for a month. We do not claim the second when we have done the first.
Where we cannot verify something, we leave it out. A gap in a comparison table means we could not confirm the answer, not that the answer is no.
