Templotix is built on a single principle: independent, honest reviews you can actually trust. We believe in radical transparency about how we operate and how we make money. This page explains exactly how Templotix generates revenue and — just as importantly — why none of it affects what we say or recommend.

How We Make Money

Templotix is a reader-supported publication. We generate revenue through the following channels:

1. Affiliate Commissions

The primary way we earn money. When you click a link on Templotix and purchase a product or subscription from a third-party platform, we may earn a small commission — at absolutely no additional cost to you. Our affiliate partners include:

• ClickUp (clickup.com)
• Airtable (airtable.com)
• Canva (canva.com)
• Figma (figma.com)
• Obsidian (obsidian.md)
• Other software platforms and template marketplaces

Commission rates vary by partner and typically range from 5% to 30% of the purchase price. These commissions help fund our research, testing, writing, and platform operations.

2. Studio Product Sales

We design, build, and sell premium templates through our Templotix Studio. These are original products created by our editorial team and represent a direct revenue source. Studio revenue does not depend on any third-party platform or affiliate program.

3. Future Revenue Streams

In the future, we may introduce additional revenue streams such as premium subscriptions, sponsored research, or advertising. Any new revenue channel will be disclosed on this page before it goes live. We will never introduce revenue models that compromise our editorial integrity.

Why It Does Not Affect Our Reviews

This is the most important section on this page. We want to be crystal clear about how we maintain our independence.

1. We Recommend Products We Don't Earn From

Many of our top recommendations are for products and platforms that pay us nothing. We earn no affiliate commission from recommending free and open-source tools, and we still recommend them when they're the best option for you. Our editorial team frequently recommends products that generate zero revenue for Templotix.

2. Editorial and Revenue Are Separate

Our editorial team operates independently from any revenue considerations. Editors and reviewers do not know which partners pay higher commissions, and they are never incentivized to favor one platform over another. Commission rates are handled by operations — not by the people who test and review products.

3. We Test Everything We Review

Every product we review goes through hands-on testing. Our scoring system evaluates products across objective criteria — feature coverage, ease of use, value for money, performance, design quality, and support. Affiliate relationships do not appear in our scoring rubric. A product that pays higher commissions does not get a higher score.

4. Negative Reviews Stay Published

We publish critical reviews. If a product has flaws, we document them clearly in our pros/cons sections and verdict boxes. Platforms cannot pay us to remove or soften negative coverage. We have never removed a negative review at the request of a partner, and we never will.

5. Sponsored Content Is Clearly Labeled

Should we ever accept sponsored content or paid placements, they will be clearly and prominently labeled as “Sponsored” or “Paid Partnership.” Sponsored content will never be mixed with editorial reviews. We will never accept payment to write a review — all reviews are organic editorial decisions.

Affiliate Link Identification

On our Site, affiliate links are marked with a disclosure notice. You will typically see:

• A disclosure statement on pages containing affiliate links
• An affiliate badge or notice near product recommendation boxes
• A site-wide disclosure in the footer of every page
• Clear language such as “We may earn a commission” next to affiliate links

We comply with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines on endorsements and testimonials, which require clear and conspicuous disclosure of material connections between advertisers and endorsers.

FTC Compliance

In accordance with 16 CFR Part 255 of the Federal Trade Commission's Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising, we disclose our affiliate relationships clearly and conspicuously. Specifically:

• Disclosures are placed close to the affiliate links they relate to — not hidden in footnotes or separate pages.
• Disclosures use plain language that the average reader can understand.
• Disclosures appear before the reader clicks on an affiliate link, not after.
• We do not use ambiguous language like “partner link” or “sponsored link” — we say “affiliate link” or “we may earn a commission.”

Product Pricing and Availability

Prices and availability of products mentioned on Templotix are subject to change without notice. We strive to keep pricing information current, but we cannot guarantee that the price you see on a third-party site matches what we last published. Always check the final price on the merchant's site before making a purchase.

Deal listings and discount information are time-sensitive and may expire without notice. We verify deals at the time of publication, but merchants may end promotions early or change terms.

Our Track Record

Transparency means accountability. Here is what we commit to:

• We have never accepted payment to write, modify, or remove a review.
• We have never allowed a partner to review or approve our content before publication.
• We have never removed a critical review at the request of a company.
• We will update this page if any of the above changes.
